To describe the functions, duties and responsibilities of the Police Academy.

To establish procedures for assigning Sworn Members to training and for the collection and maintenance of training records of Sworn Members and of the Police Academy.

To establish the procedures for field training newly-hired Police Officers.

To establish the minimum training required for Sworn Members.
